Zoo Snooze

Bring your group to the zoo for an overnight adventure they won’t forget!

You will begin your overnight experience with a pizza party, followed by an evening filled with activities, including hands-on animal presentations, games, a night-time zoo tour, late-night snacks, and coloring your own “Zoo Snooze” t-shirt. After a light breakfast the next morning, explore the zoo before it opens to the public. Cost is $60 per youth participant and $30 per adult chaperone (minimum 15 youth participants or $900 if fewer than 15).

Overnight

Zoo Snoozers will spend the night in our classroom. This room has thin carpet on the floor so bring something comfortable to sleep on. The room has air conditioning for warm nights.

Morning

7:00 a.m. – A light breakfast will be provided. Pack up and load vehicles.
8:00 – Your group can explore the zoo before it opens and see the animals as they wake up for the day. This is often the most active time of day for many of our animals. We will have the gift shop open at 9:00 if you’d like to do any shopping before you depart.

FAQ’s

What is the timeframe for a Zoo Snooze? Zoo Snoozes run from 6/7PM to 8AM the following morning.

Is there an age limit? Yes, children must be kindergarten age or older.

Is there a required deposit? Yes, we require a $200 deposit to book a Zoo Snooze.

Can our group tour the full Zoo? You will tour our Primate Conservation Center and Nocturnal Exhibit at night and will have access to zoo grounds after breakfast. Some buildings will not open until 10am but many animals are available for viewing.

What is the required adult to child ratio? We require 1 adult chaperone per 8 children.

What is the maximum number of people who can attend at a time? The maximum number of people that can participate in one Zoo Snooze is 30.
