You can make a difference for animals affected by the Australian bushfires by visiting the Lake Superior Zoo on Leap Day! $1 from every ticket sold on February 29 will be donated to Zoo Victoria’s Bushfire Emergency Wildlife Fund. 

Experience live art by Brad Vanderbrook who will be working on his latest piece – a tribute to Australia. Brad will bring a few other pieces for viewing, including a koala bear, and will be selling t-shirts to help raise money for the Emergency Wildlife Fund as well! 

Guests will also enjoy nature-based poetry readings from Sheila Packa (former Duluth poet laureate), Lyz Jaakola (NAMMY winning singer), Ann Glumac (published author), and Marie Zhuikov (published author and poet). Regular Zoo admission applies, LSZ members are free.
