The Lake Superior Zoo invites you to the Gala on the Grass, an extraordinary evening marking the first time our signature annual celebration will be held on Zoo grounds.

Nestled among 19 picturesque acres of rocky hillsides, towering pines, and the flowing Kingsbury Creek, this one-of-a-kind event invites you to experience the region’s wildest place to explore and be inspired, after hours and up close.

As the only zoo in Northeastern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin, and one of the oldest in the nation, the Lake Superior Zoo has a long-standing tradition of connecting people with wildlife. During this special evening, you’ll experience that mission firsthand through close-up animal encounters and meaningful moments that inspire action toward conservation, here and around the world.
