YES! The Lake Superior Zoo is open during the winter – DAILY from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.!

Join us on Monday, February 21, for our annual Community Day and enjoy FREE admission! Explore the Zoo with your family and meet animals like Tundra and Banks, two rescued brown bears from Alaska.

Community Day is our way of saying thank you to Duluthians for supporting us! Other Duluth attractions that also receive tourism tax funding host community days as well, such as Glensheen, Spirit Mountain, and more.

The Lake Superior Zoo is the 19th oldest zoo in the United States and has over 140 species from around the world, many that are endangered and rescued. We offer educational programming like summer camps and Zoomobiles, behind the scenes tours where you get up-close and personal with animals like wolves, otters, primates, and more, plus we have space for events like birthday parties and weddings!
