A costumed animal character will meet and greet your birthday party and escort them to the party location. Character options include: polar bear, snow leopard, penguin, parrot, tiger, kangaroo, gorilla, zebra and ring-tailed lemur. Reservations must be made 1 month in advance. |

Schedule an up-close and personal encounter with one of our educational animals. Choices range from chinchillas to hedgehogs, to desert tortoises and snakes, to bugs and bats, and to lizards and llamas. Reservations must be made 1 month in advance. |
Important Party Details:
 You are in charge of your own decorated party area. You provide your own cake, candles, plates, napkins, cups, utensils. You may bring your own beverages and/or picnic lunch or arrange in advance to purchase food and beverages from our Safari Café. - Party times available are 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and *3:00 p.m. (*during summer months only).
- Parties are held outside during the months of May, June, July, August and September (weather permitting) under a special tent located inside the zoo grounds and next to the main building. Parties held in October through April are held inside the Main Building. Both party areas are in close proximity to restrooms, café and parking.
- Your reservation for the party area is for 90 minutes. Before you leave this area and tour around the zoo, please store all of your birthday party items in your vehicle.
- Reservations should be made at least 2 weeks in advance.
- A $25.00 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of your reservation to hold your party's time slot. Call (218) 723-3748 to make your reservation.
- Visa, Mastercard and Discover cards are accepted.
- To protect our animals, please adhere to the following party guidelines:
- No balloons or straws
- No Piñatas
- No live animals on Lake Superior Zoo grounds
